Simple and Fun Art Journaling Techniques With Awesome Results

I don't know what it is about peeling tape off of a project and seeing the results, but it is one of the most satisfying things I can think of.

Except, of course, that little bit at the end where the paper tears. But, as in all art journaling, it can be fixed! Just add a little more color on top of the tear and, violà! All better.

I love to use the Distress Oxide inks in creating page backgrounds, along with stencils, a spray bottle, maybe some watercolor paint and acrylic white paint. Layer after layer....it all builds up into something quite nice.

Above is several layers: white paint, watercolor in bright red/pink, distress inks with a stencil over it and sprayed with some water. Then another circle stencil, more ink, a little white paint, more ink...you get the idea!

Here, I added some cuteness with a vintage photo (I have some available for you on the free downloads page!) on top of the piece of paper I peeled the tape off of. Crowns and a little bit of glitter always help! I also added the "Good Enough For Today" from my free download page.

If you follow me on Facebook, I am demonstrating all of this during the weekdays at 1:00 live. If you miss it, I keep the videos up on my page, so you can come back and follow along at your leisure!

Listed below are the products I use. Take a minute and check them out, see if it's something you would like to try for yourself!! (This is an Amazon affiliate and I earn a small percentage if you order off of this link.)

Enjoy the free downloads and hope you have fun creating!!

Blessings,

Lynn
